Updates
Conjoyn updates itself via Sparkle — it checks the release feed and offers new versions in-app. You can also re-download the latest notarized DMG from the homepage at any time; installing over the old copy keeps your settings.
02 Requirements & installation
What you need
Conjoyn needs macOS 14.0 or later on Apple Silicon. No account, no admin rights.
Installing
Open the DMG and drag Conjoyn into Applications — the app is notarized by Apple, so it launches without an "unidentified developer" warning.
03 Common questions
Conjoyn refuses to join some clips — why?
By design. A lossless join is only possible when the segments carry identical streams, so Conjoyn will not merge clips whose codec, resolution, or frame rate don't match. Segments from one continuous recording always match; two different recordings usually don't.
Are my original files safe?
Yes. Conjoyn never deletes or rewrites originals automatically — it writes the joined recording as a new file and leaves the source clips untouched.
Something else is wrong.
Write to contact@lucesumbrarum.com with the app version (Conjoyn → About) and, if possible, what camera produced the clips — that's usually enough to reproduce it.
Manufacturer. Luces Umbrarum — a one-person studio building small native Mac apps. Back to Conjoyn.
