RELEASE HISTORY — CONJOYN
Every public release, in reverse order. Updates arrive in-app via Sparkle — all v1.x updates are free.
01 v1.0.6 — 10 October 2026 · Safer queues and reliable discovery
Fixed
- Output collision protection. Queued videos and telemetry sidecars stay paired without replacing existing output files.
- Reliable scans. Switching folders prevents an older scan from replacing current results or adding outdated selections to the queue.
- Watch-folder recovery. Discovery catches changes during scans, retries stalled work, and resumes available folders after remounting.
Improved
- Recording-aware history. Reused filenames are distinguished using recording metadata. Ambiguous older history offers Already processed and Process once choices.
- Queue recovery. Unreadable saved queues are preserved. Watch jobs wait until queue and history records can be saved safely.
- Search and destinations. Edit → Find searches recordings while preserving selection. Changing destination after restoring a queue offers Apply for pending jobs.
Worth knowing
If watch discovery stays stalled because both workers do not return, relaunch Conjoyn. Recording identity cannot distinguish every replacement with identical metadata and file descriptors.
02 v1.0.5 — 10 August 2026 · GoPro support
New
- GoPro support. Recordings a GoPro splits into chapters (
GX/GHnames) are now recognized, grouped by the camera's own timecode, and joined losslessly — with the sensor telemetry that GoPro stores inside the video file carried across the join byte-for-byte and checked by the verification pass at both depths. The watch folder also knows when a GoPro recording has finished copying, so it no longer joins a set too early. - Updated interface and Help. The app no longer says "DJI" where it means your camera, and the built-in Help now covers GoPro naming, chapter grouping, and telemetry handling.
Fixed
- Joined files keep GoPro's frame-exact start timecode. Earlier versions rebuilt the start timecode from the recording date, which is only accurate to the whole second — joined GoPro files from 1.0.4 and earlier carry a start timecode up to about 0.7 s early. Re-join a recording to correct an existing output.
- Renamed footage scans again. Clips renamed with a prefix (for example by an archiving tool that keeps the original name at the end) were skipped entirely and the folder reported as empty. They now group and join exactly like card-fresh files.
Worth knowing
- Going back to 1.0.4 clears the processing queue — older versions don't recognize the new verification data this version saves.
03 v1.0.4 — 18 July 2026 · Saved rename templates
New
- Saved rename templates. A custom naming pattern in the Rename popover can now be saved with one click and recalled from a new "Saved" row of chips — templates survive relaunch, so a favorite pattern no longer has to be retyped every session. Right-click a saved chip to delete it.
Fixed
- Fixed a crash when changing the output folder. With jobs waiting in the queue, picking a new output folder could crash the app the moment the folder dialog closed — the "apply to pending jobs?" prompt raced the dialog's teardown. The prompt now waits for the dialog to fully close first.
04 v1.0.3 — 25 June 2026 · A join is never silently corrupted
Fixed
- Safer joins when a clip is missing. If a segment from the middle of a recording was lost or deleted off the card, Conjoyn could previously stitch across the gap without warning — most easily in slow-motion footage. It now detects the gap and splits the recording there instead, so a join is never silently corrupted.
- Sturdier SD-card watching. The watch-folder ingest is more robust: it recovers if a scan stalls, fixes a rare crash when a watch is turned off, and refuses to join a file that was swapped or replaced mid-import — so it never stitches the wrong footage.
05 v1.0.2 — 17 June 2026 · First public release
New
- Copyable console. Select across multiple log lines and copy them (drag-select, ⌘A, ⌘C), plus a new Copy All button.
- Accurate "time left." The whole-queue estimate is now based on file size and measured throughput rather than playback length — far closer to reality for lossless joins.
- Sturdier joins on external drives. Large batches now stage on the internal disk and move the finished file into place, auto-retry once on transient I/O errors, and clean up any partial output if a join fails.
Worth knowing
- 1.0.2 is the first build distributed publicly — earlier internal builds were never released. In-app Sparkle updates have been live since this version.
Updates are cumulative. Earlier versions are not distributed.
